Grand Patron Bishop Doye Agama

Bishop Doyé Agama brings a wealth of experience to his role as the Patron of Compassion Prison Ministries. He is a former Regional Volunteer Manager for Community Service Volunteers (CSV), with primary responsibility for the Criminal Justice System which included, managing and developing new resettlement projects, and interviewing and assessing serving prisoners for suitability for placement at these projects, including discussing the effect of offences on victims. He had previous experience in other roles managing alternative education projects for young people not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Bishop Doyé Agama was the 1st Chair of the Bradford Ex-Offender Support Group that “Birthed” the ‘Through the gate’ - project coordinated by Community Service Volunteers. ‘Through the gate’ was funded by West Yorkshire Probation Service and supported adult offenders returning to live in Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC) after serving custodial sentences in prisons across Yorkshire and the Humber.
